Dominatrix Question...?

Hi! I only want to hear from those who are currently or have been in the past paid professional dominatrixes in CA that did not work in a dungeon-private sessions. I know enough "in the scene" to know what to do in the session and consulting with the client what he would want. I know about safewords, backgrounds checks, having his legit home address and phone number, meeting in a hotel room I rent-not at his house or mine. Of course no , hand jobs or anything illegal, getting a business license, will put aside 25% for taxes, not hiring any employees, just a friend as an independent contractor to be my "silent alarm" and webmaster. Is there anything else, even if redundant, I should know? Not just safety, but legal. Any and all advice from prodommes in CA are welcome.
